Yang Yexins Solo Exhibition Dont Look, Dont Listen, Dont Speak
On October 20, 2025, Yang Yexin's solo exhibition "Don't Look, Don't Listen, Don't Speak" opened at the Yang Yexin Art Center. The exhibition aims to use art works to allow the audience to hear the unspoken words, see the truth that has not been observed, and then reflect on the silence and echoes we have chosen together.

The theme of "not watching, not listening, and not speaking" originates from the ancient wisdom image of "three no monkeys" in Eastern culture, which originally meant to teach people to be cautious in their words and actions, and not to engage in inappropriate behavior. However, in today's society, it has been endowed with new social metaphors and artistic expressions. Artist Yang Yexin, with a unique perspective and profound thinking, explores this theme through three series of works: "Family," "Classmates," and "Leaders," in a powerful and silent manner. The characters in the picture who close their eyes, cover their ears, and keep their mouths shut are not barriers that isolate the world, but a practice of retreat as progress. They paused the tumultuous flow of senses, allowing their hearts to become the soil for nurturing kindness and understanding.

This exhibition is not only a reflection of artist Yang Yexin's creative attitude of refusing to follow the crowd and maintaining spiritual independence and clear will, but also a powerful metaphor for China's reality. When faced with information floods, system pressures, and public issues, people often choose a "strategic silence". This silence is not only the wisdom of survival, but also implies a certain spiritual dilemma. Yang Yexin guides the audience to reflect on the meaning behind this silence and its impact on individuals and society through his artistic works.
