On June 2, 2026, the press conference for the National Treasure Art Exhibition "The Life Aesthetics and Cultivation of Ma Wangdui Han Tomb - A Home of Thousand Golds" was held at the China Art Palace (Shanghai Art Museum). This exhibition is jointly organized by Shanghai Art Museum, Hunan Provincial Museum, and Tourism Times. It will be unveiled from July 3 to October 7 and is the largest and highest level special exhibition outside the province in the more than 50 years of archaeological excavation of the Mawangdui Han Tomb.
The exhibition features a selection of 195 pieces (sets), totaling 472 exhibits, including 31 first-class cultural relics (sets), systematically presenting the lifestyle and spiritual world of Han Dynasty nobles such as Lady Xin Zhui. The exhibition uses contemporary and visual expression to transform "archaeological evidence" into an "aesthetic site" and reconstruct the cultural narrative of the Mawangdui Han Tomb.

Top national treasures gathr, setting multiple exhibition records
This exhibition brings together multiple heavyweight cultural relics, including three national treasures prohibited from being exhibited abroad:
The T-shaped silk painting of Tomb No.1 of Mawangdui (exhibited from 7.3-8.16): The "non clothing" of the ancient soul ascending to heaven, integrating mythology and eternal vision, is a milestone in the history of Chinese painting.
The T-shaped silk painting of Tomb No. 3 in Mawangdui (exhibited from August 18th to October 7th): the largest existing painted silk painting of the Han Dynasty, which constructs the order of the universe through the triple construction of heaven, earth, and humans.
Oil painted double-layer rectangular lacquer dressing box (first outward extension): a model of Han Dynasty lacquer stacking technique, containing the earliest surviving black gauze hat.
Part of the Silk Book of the Book of Changes: One of the oldest manuscripts, containing lost chapters of the Book of Changes, with great value for collation and philosophical research.

此外，还有云纹漆具杯盒、金银色火焰纹印花纱、最早“画衣”印花敷彩纱、最早丝织茵席“乘云绣”坐垫，以及已知最早的织机织造吉祥语纺织品“安乐如意”文字丝绵袍残片等珍品。
三大历史性“首次”
两幅母子T形帛画首次同期外展；“乘云绣”坐垫首次公开展出；“安乐如意”残片与漆妆奁首次外展。
湖南省博物馆马王堆研究院院长喻燕姣表示：“马王堆汉墓发掘已逾50年，依然‘常研常新’。本次上海展是规模最大、等级最高的一次外展，期待汉代生活智慧与当代观众展开一场跨越两千年的深度对话。”

三大篇章，重构美学现场
大展突破传统陈列模式，设三大篇章：
纹样之眼：聚焦汉代图案美学，呈现云纹、菱形纹等设计逻辑，设有纹样切片互动装置。
器用之序：以食器、酒器、礼器还原“诸侯七鼎”“席地而坐”的礼制生活。
天人之思：通过帛书、T形帛画影像、宇宙星辰等，诠释“向死而生，四季循环”的汉代哲学。
同步设置“利先生的政务厅”“辛追夫人的更衣室”“辛追夫人的厨房”等沉浸体验区，以及医药问诊、熏香互动等。
上海美术馆学术部主任、策展人项苙苹希望，观众能从中看到“一种延续至今、仍深刻影响中国人的生命智慧与生活方式”。
